In addition to our emergency relief efforts during or after natural or man-made disasters, we also work on long-term health relief programs such as health system support and rehabilitation, support to special patients, mother & child health, youth community service, women’s empowerment and animal welfare.
Water Projects
A major crisis facing Pakistan is the scarcity of safe and clean drinking water in many areas of the country. CDRS currently has 760 water projects operating in poor and remote communities all over Pakistan, from handpumps to deeper wells with electric or solar pumps, to water storage tanks, seep wells, gravity flow systems, filtration systems, rainwater collection devices, reverse osmosis filtration plants, and refurbishment of neglected and broken-down wells. CDRS monitors, tests, maintains, and repairs of all our wells. These life-giving projects provide clean drinking water to tens of thousands of thirsty people and livestock 365 days a year.
House of Blessings for Widows and Orphans
Our House of Blessings Project (HOB) provides a loving home, nutritious food, 1st class education, counseling, and economic opportunities to widows and orphans in need. The main concept of HOB is to give deserving families the opportunity to become independent, successful, and productive citizens who can eventually help support other families in crisis.
Benji Project for Animal Welfare and Rescue
After years of indepth experience in human welfare, disaster response and clean water projects; we had to focus on society's voiceless creatures that face abuse and cruelty daily due to lack of basic empathy and awareness. Our work spans nationwide from Skardu to Islamabad, and from Lahore to Karachi - and everywhere in between. Our nationwide fleet of ambulances operate in 5 key locations to ensure we can reach any animal in need at any time.
